Some months ago I did submit myself a PR to improve XLX override mechanism on Pi-Star, allowing what you need (but also still allowing to override just room if wished), however I could not convince @AndyTaylorTweet to merge it so far :)

I’m getting Host xlxapi.rlx.lu not found and error opening socket on all ports. Also states warning: xlxd.service changed on disk. Run systemctl daemon-reload? Regards Daniel Erickson

So that will likely be the problem why it is not running correctly. What IP adresses are you using? Is the machine having an official IPv4 address or is it running behind NAT/PAT?

I am using 116.251.193.99 which is a paid static from my ISP. CGN has been disabled by them. So as far as I know it’s not behind Nat! Regards Daniel Erickson

But it still has problem binding the ports on that IP address. Either it is a different IP address or the ports are otherwise in use. You can post the outputs of "netstat -ulnvp" and "ip addr show" so that we can help further. Maybe you have to use sudo or be root to get the appropriate output.

This is working now. However I can't run my hotspots on the same network as the reflector. I need to override XLX hostfile in the hotspot with the private IP address?

The sed scripting is designed for module changes only, please contact the pistar author for a custom IP solution also, so it is supported on his git repository.

save and now automatic updates are disabled, your host file edit will

hold, and will keep you going until you get an update from AT above for /usr/local/sbin/HostFilesUpdate.sh to allow IP override.

Actually I should have said 'awk' scripting. If you modify yourself, it will be rejected on the git compare on next update, so best done by the pistar author.

Can someone PLEASE point me in the right direction?
I bought a XLXD server and two mmdvm devices from china. They were to pre configure the server and the two units to talk to each other so I only had to set new ip info and port forwarding. Well I got a server with the xlxd on it and a login to it. But not configured to the mmdvm's I do not know if they set a password for any talk groups or not so I can't seem to see any connection between my server and my mmdvm's all they said is start testing on talk group 6 not really any help? What i'm hoping an expert can please tell me is how to log into my server then how to find the config file that would show me the password they used? and if you have any other help on configuring it just for DMR nothing else and not connected to any other system just want to experiment with a private system for a few friends thanks. for any input.
