I can't reproduce this bug. What distribution are you using ?

Gentoo.

Yes,I guessed that after reading your other bug reports ^^
Can you try getting more information about this bug ? The downloads are made with GVFS and for these to work, the source URL has to be "mounted", the problem seems to be here on your side, maybe a library is missing on your system?
To make things easier, there is a tests/benchmark_downloads.py script in the sources you can use to test and debug HTTP downloads with GVFS.

Besides, gvfs/libsoup/libsoup-gnome are not in the INSTALL file.

Ah... I had to re-login after I rebuilt gvfs with http support. (you can build it without http support... maybe add that to the INSTALL file too)

Yes, these libs were installed by default on pretty much every distro I tried Lutris on. I guess this is a Gentoo packaging issue, but I'll had these to the dependencies.

Sounds like a documentation issue to me ;)

Really ? I've had big issues with downloading files from FTP. Works well for small files, but if it needs more than 25 seconds to download, it hangs (I expliain it in details here: https://mail.gnome.org/archives/gtk-app-devel-list/2013-June/msg00092.html)

And yes... we allow very weird setups, but that again makes it extremely easy to install e.g. a server without xserver and dbus on gentoo... on other distros you'd have to compile a lot of packages yourself, because the depdencies are like "better add this too".
