Kotlin 2.0.0 support about mokkery HOT 8 CLOSED

Hello, I'm going to release 2.0.0 version this weekend. Before that, you can try Mokkery 2.0.0-RC1 as it's based on Kotlin 2.0.0-RC2.

Honestly, the experience up to now has been a bit limited, since we just started a new project, but we're not seeing any major issues as of now. We will absolutely be reporting anything we find, thank you for the good work!

Thanks for the information regarding the Kotlin version bump, will keep testing with the config flag and move to the new version with the new Mokkery release!

Hi Martin,
I am really glad that you use Mokkery. Of course Kotlin 2.0 support is planned and it should not require much effort. I already did some tests with Kotlin 2.0.0-Beta3 and 2.0.0-Beta4 and it seems to work just fine. If you are interested I should be able to do pre-release version with Kotlin 2.0.0-Beta4. Also I plan to remove Kotlin version restriction so this pre-release should work with future Kotlin pre-releases. Although, it's not guaranteed, because compiler API might change.

Before this pre-release you can try kotlin.experimental.tryK2=true flag without bumping Kotlin version.

Also, I would be grateful for a feedback on your experience with Mokkery (inconveniences, feature request etc). Feel free to open other issues.

Hello! Great work on Mokkery 😄. What is the timeline for the official 2.0.0 support? The version 2.0.0-Beta1 unfortunately doesn't work with the stable release of Kotlin 2.0.0.

Package 'dev.mokkery' is compiled by a pre-release version of Kotlin and cannot be loaded by this version of the compiler

Looking for Mockkery support for kotlin 2.0 too. So far I can't get the Mockmp working, and mockative is stuck until kotlin 2.1. Mockkery is now my only option for kotlin 2.0 😭
