The current limitation is that there can be one 'readme', and I've been thinking of how to allow multiple files. The titles of the documents would have to be deduced from the top level header, and the sections would be the second level headers as before. Allowing appropriate links between the documents would be important.

I believe this feature request has been addressed since with the "topics" feature which recurses a directory of files. If this feature doesn't cover the use case please do comment back and we'll re-consider what might be required.
