what error messages does one get when trying to run with 19.0 ?
I am getting:

An exception occurred applying plugin request [id: 'de.lukaskoerfer.gradle.magicdraw', version: '0.2.1']

but it is also true that this is my first gradle project ever, so I am possibly doing something silly...

First I have to admit that I'm currently not working on the plugin. Actually, I'm not even working with MagicDraw right now, but if some central parts of the plugin do not work as expected, I'm ready to take a look.

The actual problem mentioned in this issue only appears when executing MagicDraw via the task launch from Gradle. The MagicDraw version does not affect whether or how this plugin works within Gradle.

So your problem is definitively not about MagicDraw 19.0, but nevertheless, I'll try to help you: Could you check out this link? What version of Gradle do you use? Could you post your build script? Could you run Gradle with the options --debug --full-stacktrace and post the output?

They are about to bring out MD 21 I think as well, not sure the ramifications of that.
