Actually yes and I even created a Proof of Concept to see if I could get it to work before using in my project. The big difference is that I am using an Fragment implementing a LoaderManager. Thanks for getting back to me.

In LocationFragment, where does mStore come from in the line below?
StoreSection storeSection = new StoreSection(“Store”, mStore);

I see that you set sectionAdapter to mRecyclerView but in onLoadFinished you update mAdapter and not the data from StoreSection.

You can create a method in StoreSection to update the mStore then call it from onLoadFinished in LocationFragment.
