Maybe that's not the source of error.

The TLS directive also allow specifying let's encrypt e-mail.

Are you setting label "caddy.tls" to something?
You can set it to "off", "self_signed", "cert key", "email".
Anything with 1 parameter different than "off" or "self_signed" will be handled as e-mail and will fail.

I was able to reproduce the exact same error message with label caddy.tls: "test" in a container or service.
Please, check your tls setting and it should be fine.

Are commands still necessary? (as the mail is provided per service are a global mail and agreement necessary).

I think even with e-mails per service the global agreement is still necessary.

But I'm not sure, cause I don't use e-mails per service, I prefer to have only the global e-mail.

i'd prefer too. what do you set for caddy.tls then? nothing?
