I named it "Average Ph.D. student in his/her final year".
I am currently a Post Doc Researcher in Computer Science at the University of Macerata working on Deep Learning and eXtended Reality in a multidisciplinary setting. I got a Ph.D. course in Computer Science at the University of Bologna in 2024 focusing on pipelining Artificial Intelligence and eXtended Reality paradigms for industrial and cultural heritage applications. Before that, I got a Master’s degree in Computer Science.
I decided to keep going with academic research because of my deep love for all that concerns multidisciplinary research the data produced in this setting, and the knowledge that can be extracted from them. To me, recognizing patterns through Artificial Intelligence methods, and integrating them with eXtended Reality paradigms to define functional systems usable by anyone at any time, is one of the coolest things Computer Science can offer (and that completely conquered my heart).
