Check the content of /usr/lib/nemo/extensions-3.0/ to make sure the .so files are present in there. Do a dpkg -L on the two packages to make sure they provide them.

I found that the .so files were not in the location. I then went into
synaptic and also noticed that there were several nemo-related updates,
including the extensions. I went ahead and updated via synaptic and can
verify that the .so files for both file roller and dropbox are in the
proper location. The compress option now appears in Nemo, but nothing
specific to Dropbox.
