Oh, I see you're running Node.js 14. You need to upgrade to at least 18.12.0 which is the minimim supported version.

Are you using nvm or similar to run multiple Node.js versions? The async keyword was introduced in Node.js 7.6.0.

@iiroj i installed the 18.19.0 version of node and made it default with this two commands
nvm install 18
nvm alias default 18
and then i retested a simple commit but the issue persisted
but since i'm using the version 14 of lint-staged isn't compatible with 16th version of node ?

Since v14.0.0 lint-staged no longer supports Node.js 14. Please upgrade your Node.js version to at least 16.14.0.
