Running this works:

$ python
Python 2.7.2 (default, Oct 11 2012, 20:14:37)
[GCC 4.2.1 Compatible Apple Clang 4.0 (tags/Apple/clang-418.0.60)] on darwin
Type "help", "copyright", "credits" or "license" for more information.
>>> import webbrowser
>>> webbrowser.open("http://www.imdb.com")
True

So something is going on in Zopkio.

Problem appears to be that webbrowser.open isn't using a file:/ prefix. This doesn't work:

webbrowser.open('/private/tmp/samza-test/scripts/reports/simple-integration-test_20141216_143735/report.html')

This does:

webbrowser.open('file:/private/tmp/samza-test/scripts/reports/simple-integration-test_20141216_143735/report.html')
