It would be great to have a compatibility with Dark Reader https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/darkreader/
Currently, when on dark mode, Unclutter would force light mode on web pages.

Thanks for the great work @phgn0
I noticed in the commit history that you are currently the only maintainer of this project.
You could publish a contributing guide so that people (including me) can help improve the extension.

Howdy! Thank you for working on the dark reader / dark mode feature! Mayabe it would be just possible to add a dark mode toggle in the cog wheel thing? I really love your extension! It makes pages look so pretty but my eyes hurt with white background. Looking forward to updates :)

Yeah I see :(

The Dark Reader extension also parses and modifies the site stylesheets and this seems to conflict with Unclutter at the moment. I'm working on some changes to this code for #6 that fixes it -- hoping to release it on Wednesday or Thursday.

@Kouassi-Goli As a workaround, for me activating Unclutter manually after Dark Reader has changed the colors of a page works. You can disable "Automatically unclutter pages" and "Enable extension on the current domain when clicking the extension icon" in the settings if the automatic activation annoys you until then. Thanks for reporting this!

@Kouassi-Goli the latest update on Firefox (0.8.1) fixes most websites with Dark Reader! I'm still working on a few edge cases and the built-in dark mode, which should release later this week.

@Kouassi-Goli thank you for the interest, that would be awesome! I'll add a contribution guide in #12, let's further discuss this there.

@adguardgirl Hey, thank you for the feedback! I'm working on the built-in dark mode right now, the idea is that it auto-activates based on your system preferences or when you manually select it in the "Aa" settings. Hopefully it's ready by Monday (it's not possible to release extensions in the Chrome store on the weekend).

@adguardgirl @Kouassi-Goli the version with the new dark mode was just released! It uses the website dark theme if it exists, otherwise rewrites the CSS colors to make them look nice on a dark background.

Please let me know if you find any bugs or things that could be better! Thanks for reporting this.
