Goal: Determine if there is a relationship between stock price and the number of times a stock is mentioned in Reddit posts Process: Used a combination of both python and R to find over 1,000,000+ posts between Aug. 2020 and Jan. 2021 with the stock name contained in them. Computed the sentiment analysis of each post, and completed a linear regression analysis to determine if there was a correlation between the number of times the stock was mentioned, the sentiment of the post, and the stock price. Result: Successfully delivered client over 1,000,000+ posts, the calculated sentiment scores, and the linear regression analysis.
