Thanks for the report Ed.
However we've known about this for a while now, but since we are so heavily focused into refactoring for v2 we don't plan to spend cycles on any new development in the old branch, beside some critical bug fixes. And this part of the code will be deprecated in the very near feature when we start official migration to v2 anyway.
