Weapon does not select from menu with the menu button about nxengine-libretro HOT 3 CLOSED

Have you tried with standalone nxengine? might be an upstream issue

I checked with the latest upstream (NXEngine 1.0.0.6) - in this version, pressing the menu button a second time does not leave the menu screen.

I think nxengine should ignore key press until key is released after exiting a menu.
This is strictly the only annoying issue I've had so far with nxengine core.

I just ran a Nintendo DS port of Cave Story Engine 2 in which I can select a weapon by pressing menu, jump, or fire.
CSE 2 is the original code.

nxengine-evo bevaves the same as CSE 2.

In CSE 2 and nxengine-evo, after selecting a weapon with directional keys and then browsing other items, exiting menu selects the weapon. In other words, a weapon is already selected with directional keys.

I think this issue is the best low hanging fruit.
