I have the exact same issue, did you find out how to get around it?

Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you
installed software in a non-standard prefix.

Alternatively, you may set the environment variables libfuse_CFLAGS
and libfuse_LIBS to avoid the need to call pkg-config.
See the pkg-config man page for more details.

Seems like the fuse version on your machine is older version. Get the latest version of fuse from here:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/fuse/files/fuse-2.X/

Install fuse and try installing ifuse again. Hope that helps.

@M4DM4NZ No, sorry, I sold that Apple crap

If you don't know hoe to use this, don't say it is crap. Just because you are too arrogant, things don't work out. Good that you sold it.

@ITler You are missing development packages. It is not enough to just have the fuse runtime installed, if you are compiling, you'll definitely require the corresponding development package installed.

@nemecence90: I'm not arrogant and are able to work things out, successfully. I do this every day.
However I don't like apple "solutions", in general (not only this special topic), as they only support their technical universe very good. I pity everyone who falls for apples high end marketing.
That's my opinion and even if you do not agree (for me it is fine), I can express my opinion, freely.
Don't judge me as you don't know me.

Thank you
