Welcome to Flatiron School’s Bootcamp Prep course – the most effective and efficient way to learn programming fundamentals and prepare yourself to get into a top coding bootcamp. We’re excited to have you here!

Before diving into your first lesson, here’s what’s coming up – and what you have to look forward to – in this 75+ hour free course.

You’ll work through Bootcamp Prep on Learn.co, Flatiron School’s custom-built online platform. We promise, learning here will feel different than other online learning platforms you’ve tried. Why? It’s simple: you can’t learn real skills without real tools. Learn.co is the only learning platform that teaches programming using the same workflows and tools that professional developers use.

• Terminal (a real development environment)
• A Git-based workflow
• Test-Driven Development
• And, of course, lots of collaboration with other programmers

Don’t worry, we’ll help you set up everything along the way :)

By the end of the course, you’ll already have an impressive portfolio of coding projects that you can show off when applying to coding bootcamps. How? Your code from the completed labs in Bootcamp Prep will be automatically added to your GitHub portfolio as you progress.

Here’s a sample of what you’ll build:

Konami Code	Rock Dodger	Tic Tac Toe
Playing off an old gaming cheat code, you’ll learn how to trigger an alert via certain keystrokes.	You’ll build a dynamic game from scratch, programming a ship controlled by your arrow keys and animating falling rocks to avoid or else… boom	You’ll build a two-player game of object-oriented Tic Tac Toe.

Click “I’m done” on the right to jump into the section where you’ll get a refresher on HTML & CSS Fundamentals. After that, the real fun will begin with JavaScript.
