Hi @SoraEagle - thanks for your feedback! In the CSS snippet you mentioned, those two selectors apply to two different elements.

This selector applies to the li element when it has a class of in-cart:

.Items li.in-cart {
  background: var(--background--light);
}

For example:

<li className="in-cart">

This selector applies to a button with the class of add:

.Items button.add {
  background-color: var(--yellow);
}

For example:

<button className="add">

To solve this particular deliverable, you only need to worry about changing the class on the li element:

<li className={isInCart ? "in-cart" : ""}>
