I haven't looked into the code on this, but it seems like there's a database and the files are tracked generally by the same name. Were the files the same? They should be saved to ./ if you are fetching.
If encrypted, it makes a new extension so it's slightly different.

it was the same file I wanted to download but not sure if there were 1 or 2 seperate files downloading.

This is happening because the metadata is currently only stored in the database once for each unique file, and if that file is downloaded more than once and one of the downloads is removed, the metadata gets deleted for all of them.
