Hello there! Thanks for opening your first issue on this repo!
Just a heads-up: Here at Backpack we use Github Issues only for tracking bugs. Talk about new features is also acceptable. This helps a lot in keeping our focus on improving Backpack. If you issue is not a bug/feature, please help us out by closing the issue yourself and posting in the appropriate medium (see below). If you're not sure where it fits, it's ok, a community member will probably reply to help you with that.
Backpack communication mediums:
- Bug Reports, Feature Requests - Github Issues (here);
- Quick help (How do I do X) - Gitter Chatroom;
- Long questions (I have done X and Y and it won't do Z wtf) - Stackoverflow, using the
backpack-for-laravel
tag;
Please keep in mind Backpack offers no official / paid support. Whatever help you receive here, on Gitter, Slack or Stackoverflow is thanks to our awesome awesome community members, who give up some of their time to help their peers. If you want to join our community, just start pitching in. We take pride in being a welcoming bunch.
Thank you!

@tabacitu can you pls have a quick look into this?
Thanks for the great package!

@rajendrap123 I see you're probably requiring 2.* as 3.0.0
- try requiring 3.*
, that should fix it for you. The 2.* thing was only needed while Backpack 4.1 was in beta.
Cheers!

@tabacitu thanks for the reply

@tabacitu thanks for the reply
below is the error:
D:\xampp\htdocs\aayo\aayowebapp>composer require phpoffice/phpspreadsheet
You are running Composer with SSL/TLS protection disabled.
Using version ^1.13 for phpoffice/phpspreadsheet
./composer.json has been updated
Loading composer repositories with package information
Updating dependencies (including require-dev)
Your requirements could not be resolved to an installable set of packages.
Problem 1
- The requested package backpack/generators (locked at v2.0.7, required as 3.*) is satisfiable by backpack/generators[v2.0.7] but these conflict with your requirements or minimum-stability.
Installation failed, reverting ./composer.json to its original content.
from generators.
Looks like you haven't run composer update
after updating the composer.json
? You need composer update
too, not just composer install
. The difference being:
composer install
installs everything that's incomposer.lock
composer update
readscomposer.json
, figures out what the latest versions are, writes them incomposer.lock
, then installs them
