yesterday, i tried commenting out the mode part of my yaml
# mode: # name: AC_mode
and so far, i am yet to get an error in the logs, and control via climate in the dash appears to be way more responsive than i have seen to date.

Yes right. That problem is only the mode select. Sadly I am currently sick. Hope I can look at it soon.

I cleaned my build files and re-enabled the ac mode, but after installing, home assistant logs started showing the error again.

Can you please reinstall and try again. It can be possible that you need to restart Homeassist before that error goes away.
