Error trying the menu in an empty app about react-native-side-menu HOT 5 CLOSED

I think the problem is in MenuItem and Caption components. It's my custom components, and they're not distributed in RN by default. I recommend you just replace MenuItem and Caption components with something else. For example:

var Menu = React.createClass({
  about: function() {
    this.props.menuActions.close();
  },

  render: function() {
    return (
      <View>
        <Text>Menu</Text>
        <Text onPress={this.about}>About</Text>
      </View>
    );
  }
});

In the nearest future I'm planing to create a bunch of examples with more detailed documentation. I'll be glad to keep you posted if you're interested.

UPD: I just applied a small patch, so all custom component names has been changed.
