Loading times about autoortho HOT 9 CLOSED

Setting min ZL to 14 will greatly increase loading times. I'd suggest trying the defaults first before adjusting things. That setting is likely not doing what you think.

Likely using a high min ZL setting has you temporarily throttled by the satellite image providers.

Using the default ZL of 12 does reduce the initial startup to 30 minutes, but the majority of the tiles are pixelated and I see multiple tiles being pure green (default). The sim also still hangs instead of stuttering when gathering new tiles. Tried this with both the default wait time of 0.5 and a wait time of 1.5

Interesting. Definitely something is throttling your connection. Maybe it's a DNS issue? Do you just use your ISPs default? Maybe try a standard DNS server.

I should be on Google's DNS servers; I'll try others

Edit: I tried some things and it's working much better (some tiles not downloaded but most are), however it still hangs whenever it's downloading new tiles (doubling flight time), which is a blocker for things like VATSIM flying.

Here's what I did so far:

• All SSD, even the cache folder
• Use Cloudflare DNS servers
• Min ZL 12 (default)

I'll experiment with wait times to see how it goes, but that will surely result in more tiles not being downloaded

Is "Map type override" blank? Blank sometimes helps.

Map override is currently blank, though I also tried it with ARC and BI. No difference

I have the same issue. Textures don't load or load very late. Tested on BING and ARC with ZL12 and 1.5 time
