Hmm... which image are you using? On the FROM scratch images, you need to mount /tmp as an emptyDir, but you shouldn't need to do that on the busybox images (the default). At any rate, I'll modify the default deployment configuration to do that.

Wouldn't an RUN mkdir /tmp in the Dockerfile be enough to fix this as well?
Edit: well there is no mkdir...

it would, if there were a mkdir (assuming it's just the FROM scratch issue, and not that you're also running read-only container filesystems).
