Hey, no way to load in an RMS (random map script) if that's what you are asking. I've been in contact with the devs about this possibility, but as of now, loading a random map is not possible.

What you can do is generate a couple random maps within the game and read those.

Is it a simple case of starting a game then saving it and reading it with ASP or for e.g. could I load a replay?

Aah, no, you cannot read a replay file. This package reads scenario files (hence the name AoE2ScenarioParser) 🙂.

If you want to read replay files you can use the site: https://aoe2recs.com/ although that's for multiplayer games I think. I'd recommend asking this question in the SE (Siege Engineers) discord, in the rec-analyses channel.
