Hi,
Your setup is fine, it's just that Conty doesn't see system-wide directories, except for the ones i specifically allowed it to see (/tmp, /home, /mnt, /opt, /media, /var, /run), so it just doesn't see /usr/share/steam/compatibilitytools.d.
Mounting /usr/share/steam/compatibilitytools.d will be added in the next release (2ed0ca2), Conty (and thus Steam inside it) will see this dir after that.

Yeah, id did fix the issue, system-wide Proton GE is now visible 🎉
Glad I've asked, thanks for the help ❤️
I'll leave the issue open so that you can close it with the next release.

Here is a new build, it's identical to the current release except that it includes the aforementioned commit. Please check if it fixes your issue.
