The reason is the same as always, not having too many buttons filling the screen just to cover these edge cases. The class menu should not become huge because then it doesn't work on smaller screens such as mobile phones, and it becomes overwhelming.

The philosophy of our TM (compared to Google) was to keep it clean and simple, only covering the use cases that we were specifically targeting. Putting restrictions on how the children could use it was intentional. I'm strongly opposed to allowing every scenario at the expense of overall usability, the children have to work with what there is and we have to provide the most commonly needed features.

It is possible to get the link by right clicking on the QR code and selecting "Copy link". In the updated version today, clicking the QR code expands to full screen, you can then right click the large QR code and copy the link.

I could change the class menu to remove the QR code image, instead having a regular menu item for it that opens the larger QR code. Then there would be space for another "Copy" menu item...? Alternatively, the large QR code could contain a copy button.

Copy button added to large QR code view, available by clicking the smaller QR to expand it.
