  • I'm Kiara, a third-year undegraduate pursuing a B.Sc in Physics from St. Xavier's College and a Diploma in Data Science and Programming at IIT Madras.

  • 📌 I am interested in studying Astrophysics using Data Science, Mahine Learning and other computational methods. I have performed data visualization and analysis on data sets from TESS, GAIA and SDSS in the past.

  • I was also selected to do a research internship as part of the University of Tokyo Research Internship Program (UTRIP) where I worked on designing a telescope to probe the circular polarization component of the Cosmic Microwave Background Radiation (CMBR). More specifically, I worked on Signal Generation and Reconstruction in Python using modules like Healpy, PySM and pandas. I designed toy models with PySM to generate the data and then used mathematical models to reconstruct the data after including detector noise (modeled after LITEBIRD), detector motion, pointing vector, etc. (Report and Results)

  • Some of my past projects include building a website for a Film and Video Production House - Band Box Productions, a website to provide women with healthcare support FemCare, an app in React Native Solidarity and an analysis of crimes against women in India with Python Crimes Against Women Data Analysis.
