Do you notice this problem only when you first boot up VSCode / the first time you edit a Python file with VSCode? Or does it seem to happen throughout a session with the editor?

As far as I remember this happened never right after startup - rather randomly. But I'm sure, that this did not happen during editing - rather after bringing the file view back into focus. Hope that helps

Thanks for that extra info, do you remember the size of the Python files you were editing when you saw this? ~100 lines, ~1000 lines, ~10000 lines or more?

The one that I worked with most of the time has about 600 lines; the others are much smaller (about 100 lines).

Hi @Magolves, I'm wondering if you still use this Python Indent extension with VS Code, and if so do you still experience periodic failures of the Enter key?

I'm just going back through some issues in the repo and seeing if it makes sense to close them. Thanks.

Hi @kbrose , meanwhile I use a different indenter (I think it was autopep8) and cannot give feedback on this, sorry.

Thanks for the response. In that case I'm going to close the issue since I've had no other reports of this problem in the meantime.
