Hi, I'm Kara 👋. I'm a software engineer transitioning from the world of animal behavior science. I first fell into coding while developing AgentGrey, a seal foraging simulation model, for my Master's Thesis, and have since been looking for ways to optimize animal sciences through technology. Diving in headfirst, I began studying with CodePlatoon, a software development bootcamp, where I built out my full-stack development skills. Currently I'm continuing work on projects started during my course including ManateeWatch and Changem8.com.
I believe learning is a life-long adventure with opportunities where we least expect them. As such, I am eager to join an organization with opportunities for growth and innovation where I can apply my skills and passion to further not only my own goals but those of the team.
