Ok it sounds good for me. If you want I can make a try on this point?

Now that we have a setup.py, I propose something like this for the install doc:

  • A system install using: sudo apt-get install … + clone + sudo python setup.py install
Obviously as soon as we get a PIP package publish in pip.pypa.io we will replace the 2 last step by a simple pip install kalliope.
  • A developer install using : sudo apt-get install … + clone + virtualenv venv + venv/bin/pip install --editable .

What do you think?

The target of the v0.3 is to have a valid pip install. So we can prepare a doc for this directly without the setup.py. But we can still reference it in the doc if someone want to install a dev version.

So it would be:

  • standard user install from pip repo: apt-get + pip install kalliope
  • standard user install manually: apt-get + setup.py install
  • dev install: apt-get + pip install -r requirement.txt (with ou without virtual env)
