I just renamed this issue, but now I'm not clear exactly where the lack of support lies, in requirejs-rails
or in r.js
. Would you please post the contents of RAILS_ROOT/tmp/rjs_driver.js
as gist and link to it here? (That'll make it easier to refer to assuming that I need to start up a thread on the mailing list.) There may be work for both the gem and r.js depending on what's in there.
Thanks for the reports and fixes!

Thanks !

@ricardrobin, was that the contents of the tmp/rjs_driver.js
file in your Rails app? That looks like just the full node error text (which is helpful, btw). tmp/rjs_driver.js
is created by the rake assets:precompile
run, and is the script used to drive node and r. js for compilation. I'd like to see what was emitted there given the requriejs.yml config snippet you posted.

Arg sorry ! I misunderstood your question ! … It has been updated anyway !

Thanks for the update. The driver file drops the array of options for each paths entry, but r.js should still work with the CDN paths. I'll chime in on the list about whether/how r.js handles multiple paths entries like this. There's almost certainly an r.js bug, and possibly some work to support fallback paths in the gem.
