So there are two problems here. First is that any config settings you make directly in JavaScript/CoffeeScript are invisible to the build process and won't get picked up by it. All of those settings should be moved into config/requirejs.yml.

Second, since you're using the use plugin, you'll need to tell requirejs-rails about it in your config/application.rb:

config.requirejs.run_config_whitelist << 'use'
config.requirejs.build_config_whitelist << 'use'

Also, it's not clear that the top-level deps key (the one outside of the use definitions) does anything from the use docs and from a quick perusal of the use source code. You'll want to remove it if it does nothing, or else you'll need another pair of lines like the above so that deps is passed through the config filters.

Improved support for use is already tracked by #49, so I'm closing this issue for now since there don't appear to be any bugs related to the gem. Please reopen if you find something that looks like a bug. Do let me know how the above works out for you; I don't use use yet, so feedback that'll help other users is appreciated.

Amazing -- everything worked.

Thanks so much. I'll stay tuned on this repo to help as much as possible.
