Hello, I'm Jakob, and I am a self-taught software developer from England, United Kingdom. I am currently attending St Helens College on the BTEC Information Technology, Level 3 course. My preferred programming languages are: C, C++, Rust and Python in that order, with the languages that I have the most experience in being C and C++, however I do know more than just those 4 languages.

I have a particular interest in maintaining, and using old operating systems, such as MS-DOS, Windows 98 and Windows XP, with my interest expanding from that into pre-release builds of Windows, up until Windows 10 releases in 2017. I have no particular interest in Windows 10 after 2017 or Windows 11, as I don't like to use a Microsoft account for Windows.

My personal favourite versions of Windows being Windows 7 and Windows Vista, however on my computers I am currently running Linux as I prefer to use that as it's better for development, memory usage, and generally better. The distributions that I tend to run shuffle between Arch Linux,Debian GNU/Linux, and various flavours of Ubuntu, with my personal favourites being Xubuntu (XFCE Desktop) and Ubuntu MATE.
