Framework build time about ios-framework HOT 2 CLOSED

There's nothing about the framework guide that should cause an increase of 10x in build times. Are you building the aggregate target? At most that should increase your build times by 3x as it must build for three platforms.

In my medium-sized project (based off the example, containing 300 compilable files) the build time is > 3x the pre-Framework version when building from clean, or when a preprocessor / header search path parameter is changed ... more like 10x. The huge time penalty happens at the xcodebuild call of the Build Framework script.

It's not obvious to me why it's running slowly. I see more warnings being echo'd to Xcode's build log than during the initial phase.

The CPU load on my (4-core i7) machine stays low - as if 1 core was doing all the work.

What do you normally do to track down these types of misbehaviors?
