Unfortunately it is not possible. The Vim plugin simply executes fzf and takes the result. It cannot modify the behavior of fzf itself.
Although this is not exactly what you want, you can define key bindings for opening files in new splits or tabs.
nnoremap <silent> <Leader>s :call fzf#run({ 'tmux_height': '40%', 'sink': 'split' })<CR>
nnoremap <silent> <Leader>t :call fzf#run({ 'tmux_height': '40%', 'sink': 'tabedit' })<CR>
nnoremap <silent> <Leader>v :call fzf#run({ 'tmux_width': winwidth('.') / 2, 'sink': 'vertical split' })<CR>from fzf.
