You missed the point of #1, then. You can not make it happen. The UserNotificationCenter API does not allow for custom icons.

We can't include our own build of the notifier with the icon replaced by ours?

It is a downer we can't change the icon without doing the custom build. Maybe we can release some sort of mechanism for people to easily do it? ALA generator.
