Pretty much. Thank you for this change and the package as a whole.
I am sorry if my messages in this discussion were rude, I did not mean It that way.
from statsplots.jl.
It should work for Distributions with minimum
, maximum
and pdf
defined - is the latter not defined on Integer domains? How would you suggest plotting such a distribution - as a Histogram?
from statsplots.jl.
Maybe as a scatterplot?
Although a histogram is also fine.
from statsplots.jl.
I'm happy to take this forward to create a useful functionality here, but I don't think I can do it unless you provide a little more info about how you think the plot should behave.
from statsplots.jl.
Assuming:
julia> using Plots, StatPlots, Distributions
Is it possible to make this
julia> scatter(Poisson(568))

I'd really like to do this myself, but I am a bit out of my depth on macros
from statsplots.jl.
Could you check out #118 and try it out?
from statsplots.jl.
Good enough. Leaves something to be desired, though.
from statsplots.jl.
Could you be more explicit? That's not really useful feedback.
from statsplots.jl.
The barplot option seems better suited to such distributions.
from statsplots.jl.
So "Good enough. Leaves something to be desired, though" is your way of saying "looks good, I think the barplot option works well"?
from statsplots.jl.
Note that
using StatPlots, Distributions
unicodeplots()
scatter(Poisson(50))
gives

which, if I'm not wrong, was exactly what you requested? (axes are aligned in the repl)

Great, thanks a lot for the feedback. I'll merge this once I hear back from the other maintainers wrt the seriestype.
