Having gone through 02-Widgets Overview.ipynb, there are a few more widgets with this behavior:

  • checkbox
  • togglebutton (note that togglebuttons with s does work.)
  • button
  • textarea
  • latex

All others do work.

Edit: Is anyone aware of a similar notebook for python? That way I could check whether it's Julia-specific at all or a general notebook issue. Using Widget Basics.ipynb I verified that said widgets do work in Python using the exact same environment/IPython version.

Hey @lucasb-eyer, thanks! I fixed this on master a while ago, but ended up breaking it for v0.3. Will fix that up soon :)

Tagged a new version. A Pkg.update() should fix this.
