(it's due to http connection now refused (403) and the arbitrary referrer refused (error 418)

For your question, UserAgent is editable (it's a static public property of GMapProvider)
And for the RefererUrl, it's a property of GMapProvider instance (instance of OSM for example) and can be edit too.
Still going from http to https cannot be edit in the code. (there is this ugly workaround if you would like to fix it quickly temporary: radioman/greatmaps#106 (comment) )
