I've made the transition to tech over the last 4 years - I currently guide a team working on data capture (complex surveys) and data analysis products for the market research industry.

I've worked in operations, development and now I'm a product manager.

I've been a technical contributor to Python codebases and worked with the wider business on developing take to market strategies, new features, internal training, and a whole other host of activities deliver a product to market.

My day job includes:

  • Strategic planning and new product take to market planning
  • Product discovery and user interviewing
  • Product design, wireframing, working in Figma
  • Product delivery management, working in gitlab/github/Linear/writing tickets.
  • Building MVP's
  • Recruiting and hiring
  • Onboarding, training, and mentoring
  • Team leadership and managing multiple projects
  • Working with CxO level internally and externally

...And of course writing lots of code!

I don't have a formal CS background, most of what I've learned is from online resources, especially FreeCodeCamp.

  • I'm currently working through: learning statistics and data science especially analysing design of experiments, conjoint analysis and maxdiff
  • Along with statistics I'm learning the R programming language.
  • I'm learning design and product management
