Hi both,

This is addressed in the FAQ on the main page:

Microsoft Office/Mozilla Firefox/Other shortcuts aren't working, can these be tiled?

There is some mechanism I have yet to understand overriding these from being tiled. The easiest way to resolve this is to go to your shortcut within TileIconifier and click 'Quick Build Custom Shortcut'. This will create a second shortcut with the same parameters that can be tiled, which you will then find in your start menu under 'TileIconify'.

I am adding in a warning for this in the program in the next revision, but I have yet to find out why these icons don't seem to work.

I think the VisualElementsManifest files are interfering with each other as the MS Office executables are all in the same folder.

@dadiocoleman The manifests should be specific to an executable (they are named WINWORD.VisualElementsManifest.xml, EXCEL.VisualElementsManifest.xml etc). I've been trying to understand what causes these items not to pick up the correct manifest, it just seems to be an odd selection of programs (most of which seem to have their own tile styling before trying to use TileIconifier, so I assume there's a more embedded way they're handling it?)

If anyone has any other information I'd be happy to resolve it, I'll reopen the issue in case anyone knows of a reason this may be occurring..!

You have to use the "quick build custom shortcut" and use that link.

What Sirber says it correct and works just like other tiles that have been modified.
