prefer-const still allows you to use let as long as you're assigning to it later. no-let actually enforces no use of let at all.

I have not tried prefer-const, just had a quick look at the docs:

prefer-const - Requires that variable declarations use const instead of let if possible.

From that I assumed that it actually required the use of const. So thanks for clarifying! I guess we'll keep no-let as-is.
