I think someone made a modified version for KDE using Kvantum and that's probably the one I installed on my Kubuntu setup. Either way, it worked & looked identical.

And I didn't mean to be rude or anything. I was just surprised that people put so many custom themes out there in the Cinnamon Spices repository but no one thought of making an Arc-Lighter theme. Perhaps they just didn't have the idea. So, I wasn't really complaining; I was simply leaving the idea for those who are interested to work on it. Surely this GitHub page has many visitors.

There is no Arc-Lighter theme for Cinnamon. The lighter variant is only for GTK2/3/4 (and window managers and such where it is identical to the regular light Arc variant).

Can you please make one then?

It's not planned, and very unlikely I'll ever add it.

Creating the lighter variants for the GTK themes was literally as simple as changing single color variable from dark to light.

Creating lighter variant for Cinnamon, or other desktop environment, would mean creating a completely new design for most of that theme. That's huge amount of work, and getting it to look good isn't all that simple.

I already attempted lighter variant with gnome-shell, wasn't at all happy with the result, and ended up deleting it (and heard no complaints, so I'm assuming no one was using it).

Sucks. So far, it works smooth for Xfce and KDE though, by default. On GNOME, I can just install a shell extension to make the panel white and we're good to go. But Cinnamon makes it extra hard. So many theme makers out there, why didn't someone just come up with it.

Xfce uses the GTK3 theme, KDE isn't supported here at all.
GNOME has a built in light theme that can be enabled trough extension, and that shouldn't look correct with custom themes IIRC.
Nothing just works without significant effort put into it.

As always, and with all due respect, complaining about features you want for open source projects only wastes everyone's time, and demotivates developers, so I kindly ask you to avoid that in the future. Especially if you're not prepared to contribute for those features yourself.

As I've already explained the situation, and there's a lot more important work for the theme, I probably have nothing else to add to the discussion.
