Thank you for your prompt attention. The update appears to have resolved
the issue upon preliminary testing but I have not tried it against a larger
data set. I will check back this evening. The characters in question were
different types of quotation marks from different character sets generated
by blip. I can copy paste the prompts or those quotation marks but I don't
know that they would be a big clue since it's such an obscure character but
I'm happy to help anyway I can I'll post examples tonight but either way it
looks like you've probably fixed this

Thanks for reporting the issue.
Do you have examples of captions that cause this error?
Where does the app store the record of last directory attempted?
Please refer to this page. For example, on Linux, it's stored at $HOME/.config/taggui/taggui.conf. Specifically, under the directory_path key.
