There has been a major software update (2.4.0). Things could be different now...

I haven't been given access to 2.4 yet, still 2.3.1 for me. Hopefully tonight it lets me update so I can try it out. The release notes don't say anything, but hopefully this update enhances EPUB3 support!

Kobo Touch/Glo firmware 2.4.0 still does not handle the EPUB3 series data, at least not in an EPUB2 document. This may be by design. It also doesn't support this in an EPUB3 document, which may mean it's coming later or it isn't coming at all since the Kobo desktop app sends series data separately from the book.
