Bonjour jesus2099!! :-)
Did you abandon this project? I would find it very very useful for my edits in MusicBrainz!! ;-)
from konami-command.
Hi @filament63, are you psychoadept ?
I did not really abandon, but it’s true that I lack time and I forgot this one…
Some relationships can have many attributes, it will be little long to make sure not to forget any… and I had some other things to do too… and my issues list, here, is quite big…
Notes for myself : xml <release><relation-list>[<relation>]
json res.relations[]
.
from konami-command.
The way I see it is that you would go to a release and click RELEASE_RELS_COPY
then you would go to another edition and click RELEASE_RELS_PASTE
.

Thanks for your answer. Yes, copy&paste would be wonderful.
I already wrote it in an edit note.
Try to do that. Go to this release and click on Display Credits Inline: https://musicbrainz.org/release/5f81e2d6-0804-4120-8533-c6d52c5eb4b0
You can see that after all the tracks (each one with its own relationships) there are a lot of relationships that are linked directly to the release. I would like to copy those relationships and then paste them to the following releases:
https://musicbrainz.org/release/16e4fc7e-6591-426d-8e41-b192a8950570
https://musicbrainz.org/release/acef3db5-9977-4ea5-9f63-8ad7faa99665
https://musicbrainz.org/release/9d0584b9-4fe0-4c17-b4a7-ea4ae8891a52
https://musicbrainz.org/release/714da3a7-fff9-4cc7-a714-6975318a47dc
https://musicbrainz.org/release/a49bb6ff-9427-4212-8f02-423740147cc5
But I would like to verify the result of the paste before confirming everything, because not always all the relationships are exactly the same and I don't want to copy wrong info.
I think that I will have several situations like this one in the future. Do you think it will be possible one day?
I can beta test it for you (maybe in a MB sandbox), if you think it could be useful.
P.S. This is the edit where I first asked for a script like this one: https://musicbrainz.org/edit/32599155
from konami-command.
The paste function would load the relationship editor (/edit-relationships
) by preloading (seeding) the previously copied release relationships.
This is the only way anyway, and this way it allows for review and further changes before submitting edits.
I'm not yet 100% certain that the relationship editor allows this seeding but I think it does.
Note that it does not include URLs but it would not make sense to include them as they are supposed to be release specific, unlike arrangements etc.
I have just searched and found this related feature request (MBS-3961).
from konami-command.
Thanks, I registered and voted for the ticket MBS-3961.
Anyway it seems a ticket rather old and not so "alive".
It's true that it is almost useless if you only enter one release for each release group, but it becomes very useful if you want to enter all of the releases that exist, with all of the info.

I updated the description, it would not be a part of SUPER TURBO any more (split vote 92%).
