Hi there 👋

I'm Jenson, a devops engineer experienced in developing infrastructure-as-code solutions and operations automation.

Crossing many languages on daily basis, PHP, my first love still keeps an important place in my dev life. Over the past years, I thought myself different programming languages to broaden my understanding of programming. These languages include Go, Haskell, ReasonML, and Rust. I am a polyglot programmer who never wants to stop learning.

Currently working mostly with PHP to build web-services. I am more focused in back-end technologies but also have useful experience with latest front-end technologies. Always trying to apply the concepts and the experience from Computer science in softwares in order to solve specific problems and make life easier. One of my greatest passions is to create software that is easy to understand and maintain using modern technologies. I am a proponent of Clean Code, Domain-Driven Design, and Extreme Programming.

I play with

I play some video games on a Windows 10 VM on my Fedora desktop with libvirt, KVM, and a custom Linux kernel to pass hardware to it. It's pretty neat and has about 5% or so performance drop (just looking at frame rates).
All sorts of handy Raspberry Pi projects, including a Kodi set up on a television for local media and a Kubernetes cluster that runs
- Pi-hole, for DNS and ad-blocking
- Ubiquiti UniFi network application
- Home assistant, I'm just getting started with a few smart dimmers, but there's so much cool stuff here!
I have an awesome life outside of tech, so while I have a few projects that I enjoy (:point_up:), nothing above is close to where I spend most of my time / energy.
