I'm experiencing a similar/same/adjacent issue

Apple TV
Checked in Kodi 20.2, Matrix Nightly, and Omega Beta 2, issue was consistent in all 3
Though reproducing it is easier in my case

New setup
Install Jellycon
Configure Jellycon

Now anytime that jellycon is closed all the way and reopened - it gives a toast notification that it had an error, and asks you to reconnect to the server. I just click my server from the list at this point, and reselect my user and it lets me in, though everytime this happens it asks to rerun the network speedtest for initial configuration of the addon

I'm pretty sure this is a Kodi issue

The fix has been merged into both Omega and Nexus. For some reason though, I can't get the nightly Nexus to install. I'm going to try on Omega and see if the pull listed here fixes it.

From what I understand, the bug was responsible for issues interfacing with XML as a whole on tvOS

I can confirm that this is the issue I linked above.

I was able to fix my issue with the nightly build and installing it has alleviated this entirely (as well as several other quirks and issues I was experiencing with Kodi on tvOS)

This will be fixed in Kodi release 20.3
