Hi @daxime, thanks for reporting.

TBH, I've run into this issue on my system a few times too, but it's very rare. Typically, it's difficult to solve this kind of issue without knowing the root cause.

You can enable debug mode in the preferences and then use journalctl -f -o cat /usr/bin/gnome-shell to follow the log output in real time. This is perhaps the best way to troubleshoot this issue. To get previous log output, use journalctl -e -o cat /usr/bin/gnome-shell, which will jump to the end of the log. You can copy and paste the log into a text file and attach it to this issue.

Additionally, can you please confirm if you are using clappersink or the default GtkMediaFile for video playback? You could try switching to the other option and see if the situation improves or not. You can check the log output for the line Hanabi: using clappersink for video output to identify if you are currently using clappersink or the default option.

I have activated "force gtk4paintablasink", still freeze. I'm testing with "force GtkMediaFile"

Don't worry about these, it's normal when you enter to/exit from the activities mode. (The screen you see when hitting super key)
